Our services
Our custom software development services
Scoping, prototype, development, deployment, maintenance: the scope changes with your project, but the method and the standard stay the same.
THE LEVEL CODE, a development studio in Lille, offers six services: custom business software, mobile apps, web apps, offline field apps, B2B SaaS development, and taking over existing code. Each one starts with on-site scoping before any quote, and the source code is on your repository from the first commit. We work across France.

Custom business software
An application built around your rules, your roles, your data and your exceptions, rather than forced into a standard template. We scope it with the people who use the tool day to day, not only with management, and we tackle data migration first rather than last.
- Real business rules, not generic ones
- Roles and permissions matched to your organisation
- Exceptions handled properly, not worked around
- Migration of existing historical data
Field app and office dashboard
A mobile app for carrying out, documenting and signing off jobs on site, connected to an office dashboard. Built to work without guaranteed network coverage, with one hand free, and under real field conditions, not for a meeting-room demo.
- Reliable offline operation
- Time-stamped photos and signature
- Automatic sync once the network returns
- Dashboard connected in real time
B2B SaaS design and development
From the customer journey to day-to-day operations: organisations and invitations, billing, internal administration and monitoring. A B2B SaaS is not just business software with an extra login page bolted on; it needs a foundation designed from the outset.
- Organisations, invitations, roles
- Billing and subscription management
- Internal administration area
- Error and performance monitoring
Software takeover and evolution
Code and data audit, securing production, then improvements by order of priority. A full rewrite is rarely the best answer: we start with an honest, costed assessment before any decision is made. Details are on our software takeover page.
- Code and data audit
- Securing existing production
- Technical debt costed in days
- Improvements prioritised by risk and value
Where to start
You don't always know which category you fall into, and that's fine: scoping exists precisely for that. If you already have software that no longer evolves, or that nobody can maintain any more, start with an audit rather than a rewrite. If you're starting from a spreadsheet, the challenge is not to lose the flexibility that kept it going for so long. If your teams work in the field without guaranteed network coverage, offline mode isn't a comfort option, it's a condition of use. And if you want to sell your software, an internal tool doesn't become a SaaS product just by adding a sign-up form: it needs organisations, roles, billing and operations designed from the outset.
In every case, tell us what isn't working today: we'll tell you honestly whether it's a project for us, and what that involves.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know which service matches my need?
That's exactly the purpose of the first conversation and the scoping phase: tell us what isn't working today, and we'll point you to the right service, or tell you honestly if it isn't a project for us.
Can these services be combined?
Yes, and it's actually common: a project often starts with an audit or scoping phase, then includes a field app connected to a dashboard, or grows into a B2B SaaS product depending on how your business develops.
Do you only work in Lille and the Hauts-de-France region?
We're based in Lille, in the Lille European Metropolitan Area, but we work across France. Scoping happens on site at your premises, development happens remotely.
Do I need a detailed requirements specification already?
No. Most clients come to us with a problem rather than a requirements specification. Scoping exists precisely to turn that problem into a scope and a quote.
